SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES AND SUSTAINING 
GRASSROOTS PEACEBUILDING INITIATIVES IN TRIPEOPLE COMMUNITIES IN MINDANAO
- at the end of one and a half years, 8 commuities in Banisilan and Talakag would become spaces of peace;
- contribute to the reduction of victims of conflict and war evacuees


 

MINDANAO and DAVAO HISTORY
- to unify the peoples of Mindanao who have diverse histories and many times conflicting interests;
- identify and appreciate the diversity among the people;
- highlight the tripeople commonalities;and
- develop a Mindanawon identity





PILOTING LOCAL ACCESS CENTER

- develop and institutionalize an integrated resource center model capable of providing access to financial, technical and human resources;
- facilitate easy access and quick processing of community proposals to PEF.



CIVIL SOCIETY MONITORING OF GMA COMMITMENTS FOR MINDANAO
- monitoring mechanism for anti-poverty programs.


ADVOCACY FOR FEDERALISM
- consultative and participatory process to pursue constitutional amendment but will accommodate right to self-determination of people to include federal form of government.


GENDER AUDIT PROCESS
- mainstream the concerns of women, children and other disadvantage sectors in GO/NGO, Coalition/Network polic with due consideration of the cultural diversity of the people


 ISSUES AND CONCERNS

 

United along a common concern for equitable and sustainable Mindanao development, through a consensus-building process, MINCODE members agreed to address eleven specific issues and concerns:

2.    Agro-industrialization
3.    Urban land reform
4.    Tripeople’s right to self-determination
5.    Parity
6.    Environment
7.    Education and Cultural Development
8.    Social Services
9.    Politics and Local Governance
10.  Sustainable Development
11.  Gender equity
